   The efficiency matter is becoming more and more urgent in all areas and in project management. The question is what can be really automated? Those time consuming tasks that are repeatable and manual, where it is necessary to process a lot of data for decision-making, and it is possible to rely on the SW application in terms of notifications, alerts, etc. We record attempts to completely replace the Project Manager with an intelligent SW application. The most important part of project management is working with people, personal communication, Leadership, Engagement, Negotiation, ... I therefore think that an Intelligent SW application will never be able to completely replace the Project Manager. 1) But what can be automated during the PROJECT EXECUTION? It is advisable to automate the collection and processing of information on all measurable project variables. SW applications enable data gathering in a simple way in real time, which is essential for predicting project development and quality timely decision-making. Examples of automation areas: Critical Path & New Critical Path, Actual Cost & Planned Budget, Resource Assignment & Resource Leveling, Earned Value & Accurate forecasts of project performance problems, Burndown Chart (Agile) & Remaining work, Probability and Impact Matrix & Risk re-Assessment. Automation can take care of Notifications, Alerts, Regular reports. 2) Automation at PROJECT PLANNING? Parametric estimating, Three-Point Estimating, connection between Requirements and Deliverables (Requirements Traceability Matrix), identifying bottlenecks based on previous lessons. Let's keep in mind that automation not only saves time but mainly maintains the quality of the project manager work.
