You can´t change the people

You can’t change people. You must be the change you wish to see in people and be their mentor.

There is nothing more motivational than leading from the front.

Recommendation

As a motivational practice, leading from the front hits harder and lasts longer than any other practice. It changes people more deeply and more completely than anything else you can do. This approach saves you time, energy and money.

  1. This is approach proven by practise at least from the times of the Hanibal´s crossing Alpas. However, in our modern times there is a larger gap between the project teams and so called project sponsors. In our modern times is a larger gap even between sphere of a value adding industries and a virtual economy. Very often a knowledge and skills of a real project sponsor (not delegated but rather a project funding owners) are narrowing only to the world of a finance balances and equity share values. The world of the money and the world of the real frontline is thus to much splitted sometimes causing serious misintepretations re technical feasibilities and risk assesments of a capital project/programme. Thus very often a subject matter knowledgeable project "leader" is only a marionette in hands of the a real funding leader and shareholder owning his resources, but possesing incufficient clue about limitations of a project planning and implementation. In the other hand, such real not delegated funding leader has no potential to come down to the frontline and to apply the proven leadersip techniques. The times of such Hanibals beying funding leaders and project leaders in the same person are already left.
