Knowing different approaches and opportunity management may help a company to grow and gain a competitive advantage.
Look at your current product. Analyze each of its functionalities and features. Which feature could be valuable also as a separate product? Which category of the user groups could be specifically interested in just this part of the product? Is there an opportunity to build a new business based on this one feature with respective price model? The approach described above is called the ZOOM IN approach. In this method, company is looking for inspiration and know-how within its own company, which can bring various benefits, or we can use the same method to gain inspiration by analyzing and zooming in competitors’ products on the market.
