Communication

Hello, I would like to know, how do you deal with team members who don´t communicate? Also, how do you deal with lack of communication in your team? Thank you.

  1. From my personal experience, it is very important to ask each team member to express her/his ideas. When leading a meeting, I make sure everyone has expressed their thoughts on the topic and if not I openly ask them to share it with the others. Communication is a key element of each team and that is linked to expectations. I suggest a very easy exercise for a team, where during a team building everyone writes what they believe are the roles of a team leader and on the other hand roles of a team follower. I am sure, communication will appear in many answers and its importance can be discussed and suggestions like creating a work flow documents for managing comms can be a great solution. :) I hope this helps.
