Unusual slang

Using a project management slang, unusual for stakeholders, coming from other profes-sions.

Impact

Proposals and reports, inapprehensible for example to the client without knowledge of the project management terminology, followed by disagreement with the scope, cost or deadlines, conflicts and disputes.

Recommendation

Use a language, common for both sides. The best solution is to prepare and agree in advance a written glossary of terms, used in processing the project.

  1. a good practice for me is to organize a common meeting with the stakeholders - if it is possible - and discuss the unusual words and terms. I agree - the written glossary is a good way.
