Success Problem

Project origination is a group of processes, beginning through perceiving the necessity to solve some problem or to use some opportunity of the permanent organization and ending through the decision to include or not to include the project to the portfolio of projects and programs of the permanent or-ganization.

Impact

Any member of the permanent organization has the possibility to become the project proposer and to present the project brief, containing also several ways of the project realization.

Recommendation

The project origination happens before starting the project management cycle. In the case of the internal projects it is a part of the strategic management of the permanent organization (introducing the internal project to the portfolio) and in the case of external projects it is a part of operative management of the permanent organization (introducing the external project to the portfolio).
