The aim of the project triage is to use rationally the resources, which usually are not sufficient for parallel solving of all project manager’s problems.

Impact

The project triage is performed by the project takeover through the new project manager or if the project crisis is announced in the project progress report or through the exception.

Recommendation

Project triage is speedy evaluation of the project crisis and determination of the corrective measures and their priorities. The result of the project triage is a list of determined problems and also the plan of the corrective measures and actualization of the project plan. In order to reach the impartiality of the project audit it is recommended to entrust it to the independent specialist. The project triage incorporates: 1) data acquisition, 2) approval and analysis of data, 3) proposal and agreement of the corrective measures, 4) project plan actualization.
